【Abstract】
To develop a practical model for predicting chemical/physical dynamics in waste landfills, the concept of physics- and statistics-combined approach that numerical simulation is performed with assimilation to actual data observed in landfills is introduced. COMSOL Server is available for interactive
platform between researchers (theory) and practitioners (actual) to exchange information with each other. On this platform, researchers provide the developed simulation models as free of charge, and practitioners provide actual observation data to investigate the accuracy of the models. This system
supports the collection of errors between the predicted value and the measured value, resulting in the development of calibration model for minimizing the prediction errors.
