Thermal plasma is a high-temperature, high-pressure plasma with gas temperatures above 10,000 K. This thermal plasma is widely used, for example, in arc welding, plasma cutting, plasma spraying, diamond synthesis, and functional nanoparticle synthesis. In thermal plasma, the gas temperature gradient is very strong, and the transport phenomena in it strongly depend on gas convection. Therefore, to understand the phenomenon in the thermal plasma, it is necessary to analyze the temperature field, flow field, and electromagnetic field while coupling them. In the presentation, some examples of electromagnetic thermo-fluid simulation of such thermal plasma will be introduced.
