Development of a simulation model for electric vehicle drives considering electrochemical reaction changes due different cathode materials
【Abstract】
The vehicle performance of electric vehicles (EV) is affected not only by the characteristics of the battery, such as voltage and capacity, but also by the temperature inside the battery pack due to cell self-heating. In recent years, several EV has been released that use LiFePo4 as the cathode material for lithium-ion batteries, instead of the mainstream NMC material. In this study, a simulation model of EV driving was developed considering the electrochemical reaction, and what is effect on vehicle driving performance due to the difference in cathode material.
